SHE in Oncology

• Hands-on cancer research experience with home laboratory kit
• Targeted career development and skill-building workshops with professionals from diverse sectors of cancer research and care
• Network of peers and mentors across program sites
• $500 taxable stipend

• Rising high school sophomore, junior or senior OR rising college freshman at start of program
• Strong interest in a career in scientific research or medicine 
• Ability to commit to the full two-week program (weekdays only, 4 hours/day)

Participation is especially encouraged from those who identify as female and underrepresented in biomedicine, encompassing all relevant social, behavioral as well as health sciences. Learn more.

• Attend the program information session (webinar) on Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. CST. Register here.  
• Review the applicant information packet, accessible here.
• Submit the online application form, accessible here.
• Identify a teacher, coach, employer, or other individual to complete the online applicant recommendation form, accessible here. An instruction sheet for recommenders is available here.
• Applicants who advance to the second round: Complete an in-person interview with the program leadership team on Saturday, April 6.
